FOR CONTRIBUTIONS OF ARTICLES

responsible for the opinions expressed by the
authors.

Central Editorial Board Reserves the right of
accepting or rejecting any contribution and of
making suitable alterations and amendments, without
assigning any reason.

Contributors will be supplied 8 extra copies of
their contribution, free of charge.
INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS
Title -
This Should be brief, it should be inserted on the top
of the first page in block capitals.
Summary - Each paper must commence with an
accurate, informative abstract in one paragraph, that is
complete in itself and intelligible without reference
to text or figure. It should not exceed 200 words.
Introduction - An Introduction should present the
general object of the work
Keyword - Three or four Keywords
Presentation - The Contribution should be
submitted in the following format : (1) Abstract, (2)
Introduction, (3) Material and Method, (4) Results and
Discussion, (5) Conclusion and, (6) References. The
matter should be typed in double spacing on one side
only of A4 size paper with a margin of 2.5cm.
Contributions should be sent in duplicate.
Electronic Manuscript - For the initial
submission of manuscripts for consideration, hardcopies
are sufficient. For the processing of accepted papers,
electronic versions are required. After final
acceptance, the soft copy of the final paper (CD), exactly matching
printed versions should be submitted. Label the
CD disk with the article no., Title and Authors' name.
Please make all illustrations only in black & white.
Please note that the figures given must not contain any
background/screen. In case of scanned half-tones
(photographs) inserted in the text, invariably send the
original photo prints also.
Illustrations/Photographs - The number of
illustrations should be kept at a minimum as their
reproduction is costly. Photograph and drawing should be
made to the correct proportion of the printing page of
the journal. Nothing should be written
in pencil or ink or typewritten on the back of
illustration. Photographs and illustrations should not
be pinned or sewn with thread. The former should be in
black and white, with pronounced contracts and glossy
finish. Captions should be typed or written on separate
strips of paper and attached with colorless adhesive to
the back of the prints. The approximate place where the
illustrations are to be inserted, should be indicated in
the text. All the illustrations should be serially
numbered. While mailing illustrations should be placed
between cardboards held together by thin thread or clips
References - The References should be given at the
end of the article on separate sheet of paper. Reference
to a citation in the text should be made by means of the
author's name followed by the year of publication in
parenthesis. The reference will consist of the serial
number, the author's name and initials, the year of
publication, the title of the article, the title of the
book or periodical (in italics), volume number (in
bold) and the page numbers, thus :
Hamilton, A. P. F.
(1947). Farm Forester in India, Indian Forester,
74 (3): 84-88.
Tables - Tables should be reduced to the simplest
form and present only essential data. They should be
submitted at the end of the article.
Note :- Authors are
requested to kindly follow the guidelines strictly while
submitting the papers for publication in The Indian
